Toy Poodle Cut

The typical Toy Poodle cut features the shaved muzzle and paws, a pom tail with a shaved base and a topknot longer than the body. Boo Boo is a real pro and stands quietly for each step!

I start with plucking and cleaning the ears, and trimming the nails. Then I start shaving.

I found that after shaving the face, sanitary and paws, it's easier to trim the body after I bathe and dry Boo.

On Boo, the owner requests a 3/4" body trim but many prefer it shorter. Boo is groomed monthly and brushed by the owner daily so there are no knots.

A 1/4 cut will last longer. Keep the dog brushed because if knots form too close to the skin, the dog will need a shave down.
